Research Interests

My current research investigates the integration of auditory and visual signals in speech perception when communicating face-to-face. I work with Tony Shahin from the University of California, Davis on EEG research to investigate the neural underpinnings of audiovisual integration. I'm also interested in differences in audiovisual speech perception in individuals with hearing loss, such as cochlear implant users, versus perceivers with normal hearing.

When not in the lab, I enjoy playing the oboe and English horn in various community ensembles. I also love cooking and traveling.
