Research Interests
I am interested in research pertaining to auditory perception of language. More specifically I am interested in studying how a listener segments the speech stream into accurate word units to correctly interpret the talker's meaning. Further, I am interested in the neurological underpinnings involved in this process.
Current Research
As I am just beginning my graduate tenure here in the Language Perception Laboratory, this section is still under construction.
Hobbies
Free time? When I am not studying or doing research, I try to spend time with friends or playing with my lovable Labrador, Napa. I hope to start getting into hiking or running with Napa. I also enjoy reading legal thrillers, Harry Potter, and non-fiction science. Further, I enjoy watching movies (excluding western, action, and horror). When I can get away for a few days, I love to go to Myrtle Beach. I also genuinely love traveling internationally and have thus far had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Nicaragua and Israel.
